Portland Interior Design Services
Interior design is simply the creation of the look, style and feel of interior (insides) spaces. This will includes things like doors, windows, walls, lighting solutions, design pieces, furniture and walls and ceilings; including
colors and textures. In a grander sense it is the promotion of aesthetically pleasing elements for interiors through visuals through arrangement, colors, lighting and more. Interior designers use their personal understanding of various design techniques and styles along with personal touches and design cues from home or business owners to create the overall environment.
Interior Design
General interior design services can be anywhere from singular rooms, to small homes, rental properties, business or even full-sized corporate structures. Designs can be for one location or for many (corporate design structures that are carried through from location to location). Overall interior design is important for consistent feel and flow to spaces both residential and commercial.
Kitchen & Bath
Many people consider their home to also be investments. When it comes to to sell or refinance a dwelling there are certain areas that are tied to value increase more than others. Perhaps the two most important areas when it comes remodeling or staging are the Kitchen and the Bathroom. The look, feel and style, along with age of things fixtures, shower doors, faucets can all contribute negatively or positively to the actual or perceived value of a home. An Interior design can help provide input on upgrading features such as these, along with the best color, schemes and texture to use when upgrading these important areas of your home.
Home Staging
Home Staging is an important step in the home selling process and is equally as important for showing rental properties and homes to perspective clients. Sometimes the completion of a comprehensive remodel and/or a reduced price is simply not enough to get the sale, or the tenant to commit. Home Staging can be the extra step that gets the job done. Home Staging can involve many different small touches, such as the changing of fixtures, adding accents to walls or windows (drapes, curtains, etc.), the re-arranging of furniture or putting fresh paint on the walls. An interior designer uses their knowledge and design-sense to “stage” as space that is appealing to possible buyers or tenants.
