Things that influence me.

“Design is always fluid and the most important aspect of interior design for me is how light flows into and through a room. The other elements of interior design are there to support the feeling and mood created by the way light reacts to color and forms in a well designed room.”

I have been involved in the business of interior design most of my life, designing kitchens as a young mother and wife of a Custom Cabinet Designer/Builder and then branching out into full fledged Interior Design. I have a degree in commercial art/graphic design and I am influenced by art and art history. I grew up in Portland, Oregon and draw my design sense from my exposure to the natural world; rivers, trees, clouds and skies as well as the vast Pacific Ocean. These exterior influences come through my interior design work. I am committed to continuing interior design education and staying current in my knowledge of new products for the Portland interior design market. I love to stay on top of the ever changing new design trends while holding onto the belief that good design is always timeless.
